While relating a story on how he was short changed at a circus, the magician shows a handful of change consisting of seven coins. He tosses the money into his left hand where it is heard to arrive, but when he opens that hand a moment later all but two of the coins have vanished. He shows his hands otherwise empty and allows the coins to be examined, as they are genuine.
