The effect of this mystery is identical with the one of the same name described here, except in this case mechanical coins are responsible for the trickery. This is the effect: The performer shows a penny in his left hand and a dime in his right, and announces that he will cause them to change places. He closes his hands on the coins and holds them some distance apart. Opening them a moment later he shows the transposition-the penny is now in his right hand, but in his left hand he holds, not the dime that was expected, but two nickels!
