The principle just described was devised and used as a telephone mystery by Al Baker and Audley Walsh. I will explain it here in a simple form. Immediately following is the subtle presentation of another performer.
Effect
Performer calls a friend by telephone and tells him to take a deck of cards, thoroughly shuffle them and to look at the “bottom” card of the deck, and remember it.
Next he is to transfer as many cards from the “top” to the “bottom” of the deck as there are spots on the selected card. Performer now can easily locate his card.
How it is done
The method and all it needs, inside the library.
